Hello, caffeine addicts! We thought it would be wonderful to start our coffee tutorials for the day with our first love. A technique we have been using at least once a week, — particularly when pressed for time. Did you get the hint there? We know you did! It’s time to fill your kitchen with a wave of aromatic goodness by brewing your morning cup of joe using a french press. The French press - a popular brewing method, consists of a cylindrical pot with a plunger and built-in filter screen that pushes hot water through the ground coffee, resulting in a cup of coffee with an exotic, rich flavor. If you are a coffee connoisseur, a French press is a brilliant choice because it allows you to adjust the strength and length of time your brew sits in the pot. You can get creative with how you brew, while also being able to enjoy all of the coffee bean flavors, making your mornings better.
Whole roasted coffee beans/Coarse grind
Coffee Grinder [Optional]
Add 30 grams of ground coffee to the French Press. We are using a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio here.
For the first pour, add roughly twice the amount of water than the coffee you have. For 30 grams of coffee, you will need 60 grams of water.
Give the coffee a quick stir and let the coffee bloom for 30 seconds.
Add the remainder of the water and put the lid on. Now just wait for full four minutes before you press the plunger.
Press the plunger down firmly and consistently, but do not press it all the way down.
Pour coffee into the mug and serve immediately. Enjoy!
