Imagine pouring a few simple cups of coffee, and brewing an idea
The absolute best ideas, products, brands or businesses have been those that were built on personal moments that sparked those first conversations. With the TAB team too, when our founder, Nachiket brought a piece of new coffee equipment (clever dripper) to the office, no one knew exactly what it was and how to use it. Out of curiosity and love for black coffee, one of our core members Harsh made, tested, and got his brews “reviewed” by him.
After a couple of weeks of these conversations over coffee, the brewing station became the whiteboard for a coffee app which would teach people how to brew independently like a barista. From our own experiences, we chose to have features like the timer, and brewing logs, including a self-rating form with notes to improve.
Why The App Barista?
Coffee isn’t just a drink, it is a language, an art, a science, a dream, and a friend to so many. And we want each and every person to have access to everything they need around coffee.

And we’re simply building a community of others who are related to this caffeinated lifestyle. It’s not just about a cup of coffee but how to brew it, what to make it in, when to have it, why it’s so good, where it came from and just anything that can quench our thirst for a good cup of coffee and the world around it.
