Ingredients
- 4 tablespoon espresso coffee coarsely ground
- 8 oz/1 cup/230 ml water
- 8 oz/ 1 cup/ 230 ml milk
Apparatus
- French Press
- Milk frother
- Electric kettle
- Microwave/Stove Top
Step 1
Start by heating your water in an electric kettle or on the stove. Aim for a temperature just below boiling - around 200 °C - for optimal results.

Step 2
Add 4 tablespoons of coffee grounds to the French Press. Add 1 cup (250 ml) of boiled water to wet the coffee grounds and let it steep for 4 minutes.

Step 3
While your coffee is brewing, heat your milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Alternatively, you can heat it in the microwave for 1-1.5 minutes.

Step 4
Once the milk is warm, use your milk frother or handheld milk frothing wand to froth the milk until it becomes thick and creamy. Set the frothed milk aside.

Step 5
Now carefully press down the French Press plunger and pour your freshly brewed coffee into a coffee mug.

Step 6
Add the frothed milk on top. Use a spoon to scoop out any remaining froth in the saucepan, and add it to the top of your latte.

Step 7
If you like your latte sweet and flavored, now is the time to add some sweetness to it. Simply mix in 1 tablespoon of sugar or maple syrup to your freshly brewed coffee. [Optional]

Step 8
Give it a quick stir to combine all the flavors, and your French press latte is ready to enjoy!
