Ingredients
- 1 or 2 shots of espresso
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 1 or 2 tbsp of sweet pistachio syrup
- 1 tbsp of butter
- 1 tsp of brown sugar
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of water
- ½ cup of chopped pistachios
- ¼ cup of butter
- 1 tsp of almond extract
- ¼ tsp of salt
Apparatus
- An espresso machine
- A coffee maker
- A saucepan
- A glass
- A mug
- Stirring spoon
- Knife
Step 1
Begin by brewing an espresso shot using your espresso machine. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can brew a strong cup of coffee using your preferred method. The key is to have a rich concentrated coffee base to complement the pistachio flavor.

Step 2
For this, take ¼ cup of butter and cut it into small cubes. Now add the chopped cubes to a pan and heat it over low to medium heat or medium heat. Stir the mixture until the butter melts and turns golden brown. Now add some salt to the melted butter.

Step 3
Combine equal parts of water and sugar in a saucepan. Let the mixture warm over medium heat. Keep stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove the pistachios from the shell and finely chop the pistachios. Add the chopped pistachios to the water and sugar mixture and let it simmer for a few minutes. Let the mixture cool and strain the syrup to remove any residues.
Step 4
Pick a glass of your choice and add some ice cubes to it. Add a tablespoon of melted butter. Now gently pour a generous amount of the pistachio syrup over the ice. The quantity will depend on the sweetness and nuttiness you prefer. Begin with around 2-3 tablespoons and adjust as per your taste.
Step 5
Add the freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee into the glass over the pistachio syrup. You'll observe the beautiful layering of the coffee and syrup.
Step 6
Take a separate container, add some milk of your choice, and heat it until it's pleasantly warm. If you have a milk frother, froth the milk to create a creamy, airy texture.
Step 7
Pour the frothed milk into the espresso and pistachio syrup mixture and allow it to blend naturally with the coffee and pistachio syrup. The frothing process forms a velvety texture.

Step 8
Take a long spoon or stirrer and give the mixture a fine stir to blend the coffee, pistachio syrup, and frothed milk.
For an extra touch of elegance and flavor, top your Iced Pistachio Latte with a spoon of whipped cream (if desired) and sprinkle some crushed pistachios.
Now find a cozy spot, take a sip, and savor the delightful blend of pistachio, coffee, and creamy milk.
